clay_stone_and_steel.wmvmaquette.wlmpThe following is an excerpt from the actual Shaker Fire Department celebration proposal…
Celebrating our exemplary fire department and how they protect us, water is the main element. Using water as the symbol and theme that flows through, over and across three life size stainless steel figures suggest its life saving importance and necessity. This vital and indispensable resource also flows down into the Universal Families “reflective shadows” that are pools collecting the water and reflecting our world beyond. This Marquette actually has water flowing into and down the three wax figures. collecting in the plexiglax basin/base. Click on the video below for a short one minute presentation. |
Universal Family - Heritage House, Columbus, OH source idea

Dimensions: 5'6" h x 10' w x 14' |
I wanted to show the residents that all of us are a constantly changing and growing entity. That sometimes this evolution is a slow process of growth and development. I also wanted to use materials that would be appropriate for this kind of installation project and theme.
